Amongst the founders of the various world religions, Jesus is unique in that He fulfilled an entire corpus of Scripture that predated Him by many hundreds of years.

Jesus is alone in not only affirming the inspiration and authority of Scripture that predated Him, but then going on to actually fulfill the narrative, symbolism, and explicit prophecy that it contained about the Savior that God had promised to mankind from the very beginning (Genesis 3:15):

John 5:39

39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

Matthew 5:17

17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

The purpose of this section will be to walk through the Old Testament, and elucidate the many prophecies and references to Christ, which God inspired, and preserved for us to have for all generations, as a witness to the fact that Jesus was indeed the Messiah that God had promised mankind:
